Alignment Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Alignment Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately and timely completion of inspections and repairs;
- Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor;
- Supervises work of apprentice technicians as assigned;
- Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins;
- Test drive customer vehicle to troubleshoot, identify & diagnose mechanical issues and confirm repairs have addressed issue;
- Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer;
- Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician;
- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended;
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts;
- Vehicle maintenance inspections, recording and reporting;
- Other tasks as needed;
- Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order;
- Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events;
- Able to diagnose and fix alignments, suspension, and brakes;
- Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
Requirements:
- Computer skills;
- a desire to learn new skills and grow with the company;
- mechanical skills and interest,
- Oral and written communication skills;
- math skills,
- Experience doing alignments;
- Couple years of experienced preferred;
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen;
- Must have basic tools;
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve;
- Able to work in a fast paced enviroment;
- ASE Certifications;
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record;
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
