Maintenance Technician – Night Shift Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Maintenance Technician – Night Shift to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance functions;
- Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear;
- Cleans, lubricates, and adjusts parts, equipment, and machinery;
- Performs various maintenance work and/or repairs in an efficient and timely manner;
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment;
- Repair or maintain the operating condition of production and processing machinery;
- Record repairs performed, parts used, and time;
- Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to ensure proper operation and to diagnose malfunctions;
- Identify opportunities for improvements in quality, cost, or efficiency of automation equipment;
- Read service guides to find information needed to perform repairs;
- Responsible for troubleshooting (electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics and plumbing) and repairing equipment in a timely manner;
- Operates and maintains equipment and tools for work performed;
- Inspect and test equipment in order to locate damage or worn parts and diagnose malfunctions.
Requirements:
- Regularly lift and/or move a minimum weight of 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds;
- Ability toclimb ladders and work in high, precarious places up to elevations of 50 feet;
- Have theability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or bothhands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small parts.
