Our company is looking for a Quality Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead inspection training and identify/quarantine quality issues of components;
  • Operating CMM Equipment using PC-DMIS;
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs continuously throughout the shift;
  • Must be able to enter data into a computer, read, write and speak English;
  • Perform Internal Systems Audits;
  • Using a computer to document quality control findings;
  • Complete receiving inspection of product (insert receiving inspection document and work instruction for receiving inspection form);
  • Maintenance of the MRB areas including the initiation of disposition of materials within the (MRB) material review board process;
  • Approval or rework process using the Identification and Traceability tag process;
  • Action Process. Responsible for 8Ds associated with internal corrective actions;
  • Perform receiving inspection activities on all purchased materials for production intent;
  • Inspect and authorize release of parts from production floor to finished goods;
  • Comprehension of how failure impacts business financials, customer satisfaction and future business opportunities;
  • Ability to read and communicate blueprints to shop floor personnel;
  • Participate in continued education, professional memberships, and/or external training opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft programs;
  • Advanced knowledge of inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, Profilometers, Go/No Go Gauges etc.);
  • Experience: 1-5 years in a Quality Engineering/Technician discipline;
  • Proficient in GD&T and Blueprint reading;
  • Education: 2 year degree or equivalent combination of experience and education;
  • Laboratory skills- operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical instruments and chemistry assays;
  • 1 year in a quality control or related position and/or be balanced and confident in role;
  • Experience in Gear Metrology and Nomenclature;
  • Organization: managing multiple requirements and deadlines;
  • Intermediate level understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T);
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and complete tasks in a timely manner;
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/13485, preferred;
  • Must be able to navigate electronic mail systems and intranet for communication purposes;
  • 3+ years related work experience;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
