IT Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a IT Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hardware and software support and technical education to end users;
- Ensure that the bench desk support consistently delivers exceptional customer service;
- Track all drop-off, repair and pickup of customer devices;
- Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting;
- Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level;
- Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers;
- Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability;
- Performing tests and evaluations on new software and hardware;
- Ensuring electrical safety standards are met;
- Perform post-resolution follow-up, with users and supervisor;
- Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service to all guests and team members;
- Assists with the remote access process when vendors need to provide support for upgrades and troubleshooting issues;
- Troubleshoots network connectivity for property systems and maintain network wire management;
- Maintains inventory control for all hardware/software; maintains equipment organization to help expedite service;
- Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
Requirements:
- In depth knowledge and usage of Windows operating systems;
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team;
- Experience with multiple hardware and software platforms;
- High energy and enthusiasm along with a high attention to detail;
- Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and possess a strong work ethic;
- Basic to advanced knowledge of workstation operating systems and printers;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Able to lift computer equipment, approx. 40lbs;
- Must have working knowledge of current Windows operating systems;
- Capability of learning;
- Understands support tools, techniques, and how to use technology to provide IT services;
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public;
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Good organizational skills;
- Bachelor’s degree.
