The Project Architect, Senior selects, evaluates, and implements architectural procedures and techniques used to complete projects. Responsible for minor or small architectural projects. Being a Project Architect, Senior may supervise and guide the work of lower-level architects. Prepares reports and specifications as requested. In addition, Project Architect, Senior typically requires the use of more advanced techniques. Requires a bachelor’s degree of architecture. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Requires a state architect’s license. Being a Project Architect, Senior contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Our company is looking for a Senior Project Architect to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Create schematic design, design development and construction documents;
  • Develop projects while being mindful of specific requirements and schedules;
  • Have a working knowledge of the New Jersey Building Codes and local zoning codes;
  • Work on large infrastructure building building design, documentation and delivery to project managers, contractors and team members;
  • May also function as the architectural designer;
  • Lead the technical development of multiple projects of varying size and complexity;
  • Guide and manage building and systems programming, site and building analysis and report documentation;
  • Healthcare design program manager;
  • Project management to ensure that projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and with a high level of quality.

Requirements:

  • Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor in Architecture. Bachelor/Master of Architecture from an accredited program preferred;
  • Must demonstrate strong verbal and written skills in English;
  • BArch or March degree from an accredited architecture school;
  • Revit experience a plus;
  • Minimum of 5 verifiable US experience in a licensed Architect’s office;
  • Must be legally able to work in the US and should be able to start immediately;
  • Must be highly proficient in Revit;
  • A minimum of 10 years of related work experience on mid to large scale projects required;
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience working on mid to large-scale Hospitality, Multi-Family, Healthcare and/or Student Housing projects required;
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in production and coordination of documents in all phases of architectural practice and in management;
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Bluebeam Studio and other graphics/design applications a plus;
  • Previous experience on healthcare and/or education projects preferred;
  • Strong presentation, client engagement, team building, organizational and communication skills are essential;
  • Proficiency with Revit is required;
  • Architectural Registration preferred.
