Our company is looking for a Facilities Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Contacts repair and maintenance companies when large repairs are needed (HVAC, gas heaters, signs, overhead doors, etc.);
  • Employee must be willing to travel to other company facilities as needed;
  • Daily interaction with hazardous materials used in a controlled environment;
  • Serve as the alarm system company contact and assist Facilities Manager with corporate security matters;
  • Maintain all lighting and conduct minor repairs of HVAC systems (i.e. Filter changes & preventative maintenance);
  • Maintain knowledge of existing facilities (learn location files, utility feeds, electrical distribution, fire alarm panel functions, etc.);
  • Frequent bending, lifting, standing, and climbing required;
  • Conducts walk- through inspections of CTE facilities regularly and addresses needed issues (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.);
  • Strong electrical and/or HVAC certifications a plus;
  • Performs unclogging of drains and replacement of fixtures to meet operating standards and patient satisfaction;
  • Communicate proactively with supervisor and support staff, highlighting issues;
  • Provide engineering support for design, construction, startup, commissioning and qualification of new or modified systems;
  • Advance the use of condition based and predictive maintenance practices by incorporating advanced data analytics where applicable;
  • Provide ad-hoc support outside normal shift including nights, weekends and holidays;
  • Support maintenance planning, scheduling and execution.

Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential;
  • Cross competency experience with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Supervision, Supply Management, Environmental, or Maintenance Engineering;
  • 7+ years of experience with site and building Mechanical Engineering infrastructure systems, building codes, and facilities design;
  • Knowledge of construction industry project delivery methods, controls, and construction contract management;
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling and Integrated Project Delivery Methods;
  • Experience with tool installations;
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Safety standards, quality and environmental laws, regulations and goals;
  • Cleanroom and semiconductor experience is a plus;
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100D Quality Management Systems;
  • Ability to multitask and run several projects simultaneously, with ability to organize and prioritize assignments;
  • 1-3 years of Facilities Engineering experience within the oil and gas industry;
  • Must be able to interact well with peers and senior personnel in scientific, engineering, and operational disciplines;
  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably chemical or mechanical engineering);
  • Experience interacting with authority-having jurisdiction (AHJ);
  • Must possess strong leadership and motivational skills in order to achieve maximum results in a diverse workforce.
