Our company is looking for a Lead Civil Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit technical specifications;
  • Provides functional support to Right of Way and 3rd Party Utilities;
  • Supervise the Civil Engineering team to provide the technical support to Regional Engineering Teams;
  • Manages and supervises the Civil Engineering Team to support construction contract packages;
  • Perform research and field investigations;
  • Develop memorandums and other written technical documents;
  • Lead and coordinate design teams;
  • Development of final design documents in CADD software including MicroStation;
  • Application of Caltrans design guidelines;
  • May assist in determining schedule and budget requirements;
  • Prepare design calculations, authors draft project documents, prepare draft cost estimates;
  • Assist in determining schedule and budget requirements;
  • Application of local agency design guidelines and standards;
  • Maintain communications with clients and support business development pursuits;
  • Ensure production of deliverables meet scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements.

Requirements:

  • 15 years of experience as a program/project manager on large scale infrastructure projects;
  • California licensed civil engineer;
  • Experience leading design tasks;
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation;
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment;
  • 7-9 years of experience in transportation engineering, including highway projects and bike/pedestrian projects. (Public or private sector);
  • Ability to work in this country immediately is required;
  • Ability to work in the United States immediately;
  • PE license registration in California required;
  • Locally located;
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in transportation engineering, including rail and highway projects;
  • Seven (7) years of experience in engineering or related field;
  • Experience working with MDOT and other local agencies;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
