Process Engineer II Job Description

Process Engineer II develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Being a Process Engineer II identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials. Additionally, Process Engineer II requires a bachelor’s degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Process Engineer II gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. To be a Process Engineer II typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.

Our company is looking for a Process Engineer II to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support development of plant specific, conceptual waste segmentation and packaging strategies for major components.

Requirements:

  • Medical device or other regulated industry experience;
  • Candidate must work well in a team environment across functions and sites;
  • Must be open to travel of up to 10% of their time;
  • Must be able to wear appropriate clean room attire and have the ability to wear surgical masks and all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
  • Must be able to work efficiently, with strong attention to detail in a regulated environment;
  • BS in Biological Science or Engineering, or relevant experience in biologics manufacturing and/or cellular therapeutics processing;
  • 2-3 years of postgraduate experience related to process development and/or cGMP manufacturing within a biotech production facility;
  • Working knowledge of equipment and technology as it applies to job function;
  • Strong technical writing skills, experience creating and revising SOPs and batch records;
  • Advanced knowledge of GMP requirements as it applies to job function;
  • 2-4 years with BS in Engineering;
  • 1+ years of experience with laser motion optimization;
  • Nitinol and stainless-steel experience;
  • Chamfering technology implementation.
