Process Engineer I develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Being a Process Engineer I identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials. Additionally, Process Engineer I requires a bachelor’s degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Process Engineer I works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. To be a Process Engineer I typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.

Our company is looking for a Process Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with multi-functional team to achieve project goals;
  • Comply with GMP and quality requirements when completing core duties;
  • Evaluate current processes and provide recommendations;
  • Manage cost and time constraints;
  • Participate on cross functional teams and use LEAN six sigma tools to address needs throughout the plant and drive out waste;
  • Development of product/process innovations for next generation solutions;
  • Projects will have varying process complexity, size, cost and priority;
  • Evaluate risk and develop counter-measures;
  • Keep process documentation up-to-date (PFDs, PIDs, H&M balance, specification sheets, design documentation);
  • Knowledge in investigating process deviations and developing CAPAs;
  • Provide process engineering expertise across various product lines and sites;
  • Oversight of equipment negotiation, purchase, installation, and commissioning;
  • Manage all aspects of Standard Operating Conditions Program;
  • Serve as an authority in data analysis and statistical tools;
  • Observe and analyze processes with the ability to utilize performance data to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience;
  • Required – Strong computer skills for Epicor Excel, Word;
  • Experience in process simulations;
  • Proficient technical writing experience in a similar industry, preferred in medical device;
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time;
  • Prior experience mentoring and coaching others with demonstrated change management skills;
  • Statistical Analysis and Interpretation;
  • 5+ years experience (may waive if relevant experience in school is adequate);
  • Solid written and verbal English communication skills are a must;
  • Hands on experience with hardware;
  • Broad based engineering knowledge and excellent computer skills including CAD (AutoCAD or Solidworks), MS Word, Excel, Access;
  • Knowledge of safety standards including RIA/ANSI 15.06;
  • Strong analytical expertise coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to all levels;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.
