Our company is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds, on occasion;
  • Experience prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulders and stretching;
  • Use hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment;
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and 1 year of experience;
  • Manage resolution of major equipment breakdowns and quality issues in the suites;
  • Support the process training for production employees.Provide departments with process input for new and redesigned products;
  • Responsible for accuracy of product routing and times;
  • Makes formal recommendations with ROI on equipment changes and upgrades;
  • Work with facilities personnel and equipment suppliers to develop appropriate preventative maintenance programs for new and existing equipment;
  • Create a design of experiments for manufacturing process changes;
  • Develop and optimize new manufacturing processes, equipment and fixtures;
  • Observes processes and develops innovative solutions to solve problems;
  • Assists in the development and utilization of key reliability metrics to measure performance;
  • Perform with vendors and internal as well as external customers to prepare processes conforming to product parameters;
  • Resolve and execute manufacturing process solutions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering;
  • Experience and training with SPC, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, MRP, DOE, FMEA, Fishbone, 5WHY’s, Problem solving, & value stream mapping;
  • Significant experience in the design and operation of Biopharmaceutical facilities, both manufacturing and support systems;
  • Must be able to hold Lean KAIZAN event and demonstrate results. Prepare and independently run successful DOE’s;
  • Experience in biotech or other regulated industry;
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline. Chemical Engineering preferred;
  • Significant experience with fluid processing (pumps, valves, piping systems, tanks and transfers);
  • Work with quality assurance, production, purchasing, and sales/manufacturing personnel to maintain product quality and sales objectives;
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is required;
  • Train production personnel when applicable;
  • Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data;
  • Provide technical supports for manufacturing of solid state components including die/substrate-attachment, wire-bonding or similar processes;
  • Knowledge of FMEA, Control plan, and PPAP desired;
  • Knowledge of process safety and chemical processes design in a batch operation desired;
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
