Senior Roadway Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Roadway Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Must demonstrate the willingness and ability to work collaboratively and communicate as part of a diverse design team;
- Construction management of highway and roadway projects;
- Manage the design of streets, roadways, highways, and interchanges to meet local, state and federal requirements.
Requirements:
- 4 – 10 years of related experience;
- Experience with Illinois DOT and Illinois Tollway Design policies preferred;
- BS in Civil Engineering degree minimum requirement;
- Demonstrated maturity in judgment and initiative;
- Strong computer skills with MicroStation, Geopark Open Roads 3D Modeler, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word as a minimum;
- Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy;
- Demonstrated ability to solve engineering problems;
- Strong oral and written communication skills are a plus;
- Licensed IL PE, or ability to become licensed within 1 year.
