Staff Mechanical Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Staff Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with suppliers for new/existing processes, quality issues and process improvements for assigned projects;
- Review and approve nonconforming material and system documentation;
- Review & approve inspection plans, routers and product drawings;
- Facilitate quality remediation, gap closure through partnership with cell Quality Engineer;
- Support remediation activities for new technology transfers;
- Analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests and results analysis; lead and/or participate in process review meetings;
- Lead and participate in the development and improvement of the manufacturing process for existing and new products;
- Participate in development, review & approval process and equipment validation/qualifications;
- Work with Advanced Operations in relations to Process Validation, Gauge Design & Inspection, Inspection Methodology and DFM;
- Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP and PPAP generation associated with product transfers.
Requirements:
- Masters Degree, or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
