Our company is looking for a Water Resources Engineer in Training to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer/ designer;
  • Assists with basic engineering duties on projects of various complexity;
  • Performs field work as directed by a senior engineer/ designer;
  • Attend project meetings;
  • Occasional local travel;
  • Meeting scheduling requirements;
  • Prepare review comments and communication documents;
  • Assists team in preparing drawings, presentations and reports;
  • Perform watershed planning studies to achieve flood reduction, water quality and ecological benefits;
  • Assist in developing technical documents including reports, presentations, exhibits/figures, drawings, tables, etc;
  • Attend project meetings involving communication to clients and/or governmental officials;
  • Prepare design reports summarizing work performed on stormwater management, green infrastructure, ecosystem restoration, and other design projects;
  • May perform field work related to pilot and/or construction related activities;
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using steady state, unsteady state, 1-D and 2-D models;
  • Deployment to natural disaster areas for recovery operations is available if desired. Not required.

Requirements:

  • Masters of Science (M.S.) degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering or a related degree;
  • Co-op/Internship experience.
