Water Resources Engineer in Training Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Water Resources Engineer in Training to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Works with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer/ designer;
- Assists with basic engineering duties on projects of various complexity;
- Performs field work as directed by a senior engineer/ designer;
- Attend project meetings;
- Occasional local travel;
- Meeting scheduling requirements;
- Prepare review comments and communication documents;
- Assists team in preparing drawings, presentations and reports;
- Perform watershed planning studies to achieve flood reduction, water quality and ecological benefits;
- Assist in developing technical documents including reports, presentations, exhibits/figures, drawings, tables, etc;
- Attend project meetings involving communication to clients and/or governmental officials;
- Prepare design reports summarizing work performed on stormwater management, green infrastructure, ecosystem restoration, and other design projects;
- May perform field work related to pilot and/or construction related activities;
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using steady state, unsteady state, 1-D and 2-D models;
- Deployment to natural disaster areas for recovery operations is available if desired. Not required.
Requirements:
- Masters of Science (M.S.) degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering or a related degree;
- Co-op/Internship experience.
