General Maintenance Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a General Maintenance to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Removing bulk trash (including appliances);
- Clean and inspect boiler and storage rooms;
- Toilets, sinks, vanities and disposals;
- Caulking;
- Minor drywall damages;
- Window screens and blinds;
- Wall molding;
- Rodent control;
- Gutters, down spouts and connecting hoses;
- Resolve electrical, plumbing and appliance repair;
- Clean up work area;
- Performs general maintenance and repair of campus buildings and off campus houses;
- Provide excellent customer service to residents;
- Keep the grounds free of debris and trash;
- Gutters, downspouts and connecting hoses.
Requirements:
- Ability to work day, weekend, and evening hours as required;
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and climb ladders;
- General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service;
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally;
- HVAC Certification a plus;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Minimum 1-2 years of maintenance experience with apartment experience preferred;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Measure distances or dimensions;
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including uses and maintenance;
- General knowledge of carpentry tools, materials and methods;
- Apartment maintenance experience a plus.
