Agile Product Owner Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Agile Product Owner to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide client support and ensure client satisfaction;
- Assure that any change in requirements are authorized and documented;
- Schedule meetings with Business Functions to gather information for project implementation;
- Record and monitor project requirements in the backlog;
- Owning the project scope to ensure successful delivery; meeting business expectations and established timelines;
- Document user stories along with acceptance tests;
- Triage and prioritize product improvement ideas received from different sources (internal & external);
- Collaborates with Business Product Managers to manage the teams’ product roadmap and releases;
- Prepares compelling presentations and then presents and communicates to the rest of the organization and senior leadership;
- Developing business analysis artifacts such as user experience models and prototypes/process flows/ business rules to clarify requirements;
- Works closely with development teams and business teams to deliver products;
- Sprint planning and product backlog prioritization;
- Researches and identifies industry best practices and trends to increase effectiveness;
- Pro-actively work on the product backlog and update it at regular intervals;
- Manages prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, and operational support.
Requirements:
- Experience using Agile and Scrum methodologies;
- Working knowledge of the Hire to Retire lifecycle, and Financial processes in a subscription-based SaaS business;
- Experience using JIRA or other project management tools;
- Ability to translate business needs into small developments, and prioritize them according to business value;
- Excellent knowledge of Financial processes in a subscription-based SaaS business;
- Experience with Salesforce and UltiPro is a HUGE PLUS;
- Ability to travel to our different office locations for on-site visits, if needed (not frequent);
- Working knowledge of CRM, HCM, and integration middleware;
- Ability to speak to Business Functions with confidence and professionalism;
- Total of 8+ Years of experience in working on finance initiatives;
- Netsuite Foundation or Admin certification is a plus;
- Proven ability to make hard decisions in a fast-paced environment;
- Engage with customers (internal and external) as needed to establish and validate requirements throughout development process;
- Work closely with the implementation and customer success teams to develop delivery processes that encourage adoption of new products and features;
- Provide vision and direction to the development teams and stakeholders throughout the product life cycle, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
