Our company is looking for a Cost Estimator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing cost estimates from other parties to ensure they are reasonable, accurate, and in compliance with applicable standards;
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel;
- Talk and hear;
- walk (for most of an 8-hour workday and up to 3 to 4 continuous hours at one time);
- Assists in development of budgets with the cost analyst;
- occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds;
- Assist in the development of an automated/streamlined costing process;
- climb ladders and/or steep roof stairs (for each building assessed, at least once per on-site assessment);
- Assist in contract negotiations, on occasion, accompanying contracts personnel to explain, discuss and/or justify bid;
- Sit;
- balance;
- reach with hands and arms;
- climb steps;
- stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl (to observe basement and grade-level crawl spaces, and/or to read equipment data plates when necessary);
- Stand.
Requirements:
- Strong client management skills;
- Proven success managing all phases of acquisition programs;
- Intermediate/Advanced experience with Microsoft Products is required;
- Secret clearance required;
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in DoD cost estimating with a minimum of ten (10) years of DoD acquisition experience;
- Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst or Certified Cost Professional a plus.
