Our company is looking for a EHS Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Contractors provide solutions when sites are found to be in violation of safety standards;
  • Issue Confined Space Entry and Hot Work permits as required and in accordance with Goodyear standards;
  • Audit Contractor documentation of all accidents, safety violations, and unsafe conditions/activities within 24 hours;
  • Performs additional assignments per supervisor’s direction;
  • Ensure all Contractors and subcontractors employees have the proper training to perform their tasks;
  • Conduct project safety audits and property damage and personal injury investigations;
  • Ensure Contractors conduct safety meetings – regular and ad hoc (i.e., accidents, near misses, etc.);
  • Audit Contractor compliance with local regulations and company requirements;
  • Reporting to Goodyear Responsible Person, the result of all accident investigations or dangerous occurrences;
  • Accompany regulatory compliance officers, corporate officers, and insurance inspectors during on-site audits, as required;
  • Report all unsafe conditions to the Contractor’s supervisors and Goodyear responsible person and ensure the condition is corrected;
  • Provide weekly report to Goodyear project manager;
  • Audit Contractor maintenance for all safety documents for each project.

Requirements:

  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, rounding);
  • Ability to represent the Company in a positive and professional manner at all times;
  • Organized and detail oriented;
  • Ability to maintain a positive, professional, cooperative demeanor;
  • Knowledge of products specifications, including how products should run during manufacturing process;
  • Ability to foster productive working relationship with management, coworkers, vendors and customers;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
  • Certified Occupational Safety and Health Manager or OSHA-Authorized Outreach Trainer (Preferred);
  • Experience as a Safety lead or in an independent type of role is highly desirable;
  • Experience in the petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, refineries or related industry;
  • Experience with radiation protection is a plus;
  • Professional attitude and strong ethics a must;
  • Experience with EHS compliance organizations such as PICs & ISNetworld is desired;
  • Familiarity with environmental permitting;
  • Solid IT literacy skills, specifically with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
