Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator

The Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator inspects the work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly. Coordinates and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Being an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator ensures compliance with and trains employees on all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Maintains and updates environmental policy and procedure manuals. In addition, Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator requires a bachelor’s degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Working as an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.   • Collaborate with Managers/Foreman around planning and execution of non-routine tasks in a safe manner;
  • Will consistently conduct jobsite safety visits designed to positively encourage best safety practices;
  • Execution of frequent jobsite inspections to identify hazards and provide consultation to resolve safety issues;
  • Investigation of all incidents in a timely manner;
  • Guide prevention and risk reduction programs to improve safety and health programs;
  • Conduct or coordinate reviews of follow-up expectations and activities as appropriate; track corrective items on agreed-upon timelines to closure;
  • Provide periodic communication to management on the direction and effectiveness of health and safety programs through operational metrics;
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in a variety of international regions regarding occupational health of our associates.

Requirements:
