Finance Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Finance Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Accuracy;
- Monthly utilization and revenue vs. cost reports;
- Ensure compliance;
- Semi-annual allocation and revenue performance reports;
- Tasks related to the US monthly financial close, with the expectation of taking over the financial close within 12 months of assuming this position;
- Semi-annual KPI reporting for management;
- Quarterly non-comp expense reporting, including communicating key insights to department leads;
- Financial support and analysis for monthly results, financial trends, budget & 3 Year Plan;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Coordinate audit requests;
- Assist in month end closing procedures;
- Drive timely statutory filings;
- Plant Lead for Accounts Payable;
- Programming, model building, and regression analysis in statistical analysis programs (such as Stata, SAS, R, or Python);
- Ensuring reliability of analysis via peer review focused on testing the robustness of results.
Requirements:
- Financial support and analysis for monthly results, financial trends, budget & 3 Year Plan;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Assist in month end closing procedures;
- Supports the Internal Control agenda for the business- including Top 20 Indirect spend;
- Plant Lead for Accounts Payable;
- Manage analysis and reporting of units, indirect spend, activity lines, and other variances;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a deadline-driven professional services environment;
- Commitment to the nonprofit sector;
- At least one year of professional experience in finance or accounting;
- Strong Excel skills, including being comfortable with financial models;
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles is desirable;
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (finance or accounting degree is highly desirable);
- Comfortable with web-based systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics CRM;
- Detail oriented;
- Familiarity with Blackbaud or other accounting software is desirable.
