Our company is looking for a General Accountant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing AP, AR and Payroll entries to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances;
  • Account reconciliations, GL posting, auditing and reporting on a weekly, monthly and annual basis;
  • Monthly multi-state sales tax calculations and reporting for multiple companies;
  • Promote and facilitate Open Door process, effective communication and Fair Treatment;
  • Complete correspondence, forms and reports using computer and Microsoft Office programs;
  • Maintain financial system (accounts receivable, and general ledger);
  • Analysis of accounts receivalbes and timely feedback on accounts status;
  • Handle confidential information on a regular basis;
  • Adherence to Magna Internal Controls;
  • Work closely with professional staff;
  • Scanning and filing, as needed;
  • Revenue recognition and manual invoicing;
  • Revenue & expense classification;
  • Monthly expense reports;
  • Payroll.

Requirements:

  • A strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar ERP software is required;
  • Attention to detail, problem solving skills and the ability to multitask is required;
  • Working knowledge of MS Office with above average MS Excel skills. A working knowledge of MS Access is a plus;
  • Well organized, the ability to prioritize, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a General Accountant or a similar position with a solid understanding of GAAP;
  • Knowledge/experience with UC finance systems;
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience;
  • AP/AR and or billing with knowledge of cash handling process;
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Excel intermediate knowledge;
  • Power Point – intermediate knowledge;
  • Solid experience with Deltek Vision software;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Quicken and QuickBooks;
  • 3 to 5 years of Accounting experience, preferably at an Architecture/Engineering firm.
