Marketing Data Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Marketing Data Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for smaller scale customers with heavy client interactions;
- Account Manager/Developer for several accounts;
- Liaison between company, client(s) and contracted vendors;
- Stay current with client and industry benchmarks;
- Ability to conduct statistical analyses and test hypotheses around business questions;
- Develop data integrity policies and maintain all data sources in a clear and well-organized fashion;
- Grow our audiences broadly + widely across the interwebs leveraging insights from the data you are seeing;
- Work with marketing stakeholders to leverage personas, customer journeys, and data strategies to develop and implement marketing automation programs;
- Measure everything we do socially with data;
- Reports to the VP of Brands;
- Understand our competitors and how they’re using social media. Imitate as necessary. Innovate beyond them. And drive new initiatives forward;
- Understand client’s business requirements and design reporting and analysis approaches tailored to their needs;
- Maintain monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) deemed necessary by senior leaders;
- Develop dashboards and reporting presentation decks to clearly communicate business performance metrics on a regular basis;
- Create engaging reports to track progress and present data.
Requirements:
- Previous database experience;
- At least 2-3 years of prior related corporate experience;
- Motivated, self-starter;
- Quantitative College degree a must;
- Strong communication (written and verbal), analytical, organizational, problem solving and computer skills;
- Ability to learn new skills quickly;
- Detail oriented;
- Desire to continually develop and discover new opportunities in the ever-changing programmatic ecosystem;
- A self-starter with a results + growth-driven mindset;
- Brand recall/perception;
- Strong foundation in Excel/data modeling with experience in aggregating 1 st and 3 rd party data;
- Knowledge of data management technologies and third-party data sources like GDS, GA, and GAM;
- EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. (Non-traditional paths welcome );
- Synchronized/dynamic creative performance analysis;
- Paid Media and Owned channel content & UX A/B testing.
