Our company is looking for a Scheduling Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee online appointments;
  • Oversee multiple phone lines, answering and directing calls;
  • Make appointments for several doctors in multiple offices;
  • Keep an updated patient information database;
  • Help patients navigate insurance information;
  • Coordinate the compiling of patient records to facilitate patient rounds and quality assurance matters;
  • Monitor accuracy of scheduled orders coming through Centralized Scheduling;
  • Serve as Liaison for Centralized Scheduling. Assures that improvement measurements are implemented;
  • Maintains communication for all system issues, scheduling concerns and communication while working through all revenue cycle requirements;
  • Support scheduling of radiation oncology appointments;
  • Coordinates ordering needed supplies for department;
  • HIPAA Standards and Regulatory Requirements are followed and adhered to;
  • Appropriately and accurately collects and enters required information for scheduling patients and completes the check in if applicable;
  • Handles confidential information on a daily basis and maintains HIPPA compliance;
  • Obtains insurance authorizations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Interpersonal skills- Coordinator’s should be comfortable interacting with people, even in stressful situations;
  • Communication skills. Coordinator’s must speak and write clearly so that others may understand them;
  • Must show a passion for healthcare;
  • Must be able to multitask;
  • Prefer one to three years of prior healthcare or call center experience;
  • Should possess great communication skills;
  • Bilingual in Spanish;
  • Professional appearance a must;
  • AA or BA/BS degree preferable;
  • Occasional in-city travel;
  • Must be self-motivated and detail-oriented.
