Sourcing Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Sourcing Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate daily with overseas, factories, and suppliers;
- Actively participate in weekly cross-functional meetings;
- Manage a team of individuals;
- Work closely with the Oversee team for production, shipping and quality controls;
- Manage production team and all aspects of production;
- Organize weekly production meeting with team members to review current production standing and any outstanding issues;
- Manage daily communication to cross-functional teams (sales, design, planning, testing, compliance and logistics);
- Manage supplier screening process and work with suppliers to gain and maintain compliant status;
- Establish contracts with selected suppliers in specific markets;
- Educate suppliers on working with JLL and established account teams;
- Communicate and negotiate effectively with all hotel & vendor partners;
- Maintain the highest level of quality, professionalism and integrity in everything you do;
- Oversight of supplier set-up in JLL business platforms;
- Development and management of all supplier communications;
- Contract selected hotels using client-specific methods and templates.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
- Demonstrated quantitative and analytical abilities;
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in contractual negotiations;
- Demonstrated knowledge of procurement strategy and market drivers;
- Strong analytical prioritizing, interpersonal and problem-solving skills;
- Minimum 5 years production and supply chain operations experience required;
- Experience with ERP software a MAJOR PLUS;
- Excellent communication and computer skills;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in consumer product industry;
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines;
- Training – Perform continuous professional development activities and ensure up to date training in processes and systems relevant to position;
- 2+ years of manufacturing management, manufacturing engineering, buying, production planning or product development experience;
- Prefer FDA-regulated/aerospace/automotive industries experience;
- Demonstrated leadership, customer service, problem solving, communication, negotiation, tact, judgment, and organizational skills;
- Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written.
