Our company is looking for a Counselor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates interest in long term and short term goals and objectives of the company;
  • Participate in clinical staffing/treatment meetings providing feedback on all pertinent cases;
  • Assist clients through transition process and complete final correspondence such as transition summary, plan, letter, etc;
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings. Refer appropriate clients for legal advocacy services to legal advocacy staff;
  • Maintain statistical service records and case file documentation on assigned cases;
  • Assist in conducting crisis line staff meetings and training sessions as assigned;
  • Assist in community or professional education through speaking engagements as assigned by the Director of Counseling;
  • Attends field trips and other extracurricular activities as required;
  • Provide counseling both on an individual and group basis as assigned by the Director of Counseling;
  • Serve as a resource person for crisis line volunteers as needed;
  • Coordinates care management and referral services for students and families during program enrollment;
  • Prepares for and participates in care review meetings;
  • Provides social and skill building educational materials; teaches individual and community responsibility;
  • Prepares for and participates in monthly parent/guardian meetings;
  • Ensures the integration of the Six Developmental Domains and Gender Responsive programming in daily practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a counselor;
  • Successful completion of the HHS training program;
  • Capability to physically restrain a youth when necessary;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred but not required;
  • CAP or Masters level education minimum;
  • Evaluate patient progress and amend treatment plan accordingly;
  • Spanish/English speaker a plus (additional compensation opportunities for Spanish speaking skills);
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Must be able to travel by automobile, plane, train, etc.; occasional overnight travel may be required;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, consumers/residents, families, and the public;
  • Serve as a role model to residents/consumers;
  • Must be a Qualified Health Professional (CASAC, LMHC, LMHC-P, LMSW or a RN);
  • Ability to pass a certification;
  • Up-to–date Pennsylvania Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor credentials (May also be considered “in-progress”.
