CNC Applications Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a CNC Applications Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Broad & in depth knowledge of multiple machining platforms;
- Working knowledge of part inspection devices and techniques;
- Strong analytical/problem solving abilities;
- Ability to define and troubleshoot manufacturing/machining processes;
- Proficient in MS Office Suite;
- Broad Knowledge of cutting tools with the ability to calculate optimal speeds and feeds;
- Basic understanding of Metallurgy;
- Able to lift 25 lbs;
- Design and fabricate fixtures/ work holding to facilitate the test cutting process;
- Proficient with Caps conversational, one high end CAM System (OpenMind, Delcam, Siemens NX), G-Code, and Macro programming;
- Broad & in depth knowledge of at multiple machine control systems.
Requirements:
- Broad & in depth knowledge of multiple machining platforms;
- Must be able to travel to customer/distributor locations and trade shows as needed; international occasionally as well; average 60%
- Working knowledge of part inspection devices and techniques;
- Broad Knowledge of cutting tools with the ability to calculate optimal speeds and feeds;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
- Proficient in MS Office Suite;
