Lead Technical Architect Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Lead Technical Architect to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Handle confidential matters and information professionally;
- Continuing education of relevant certifications that would benefit the Lead Technical Architect role;
- Hands-on development lead with architect skills to establish a web application development/integrations team;
- Implement the standard toolsets, DevSecOps practices including source control on the chosen cloud platform;
- Commence implementing applications that are needed to support the business initiatives;
- Work closely with the data team to implement that vision;
- Channel Optimization: Develop channel specific advertising algorithm to make real-time decision programmatically and drive channel efficiency;
- Maintain multiple advanced manufacturer specific advanced certifications. i.e.: CCIE, R/S. Voice, Brocade, CISSP, VCDX, UCS;
- Communication: Present results of complex analytic projects to business, non-technical audiences;
- Workstream Delivery Plan;
- Interface specifications review;
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members;
- Be responsible for gaining a deep understanding of the entire DPEP portfolio of applications and understand the integrations between them;
- Detailed Low Level Architecture Diagrams;
- Develop common reusable frameworks & components along with end-to-end proof of concepts for the proposed solution as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience with implementation of Duck Creek Example Platform solutions for Policy Administration, Billing and/or ASW Claims preferred;
- Ability to identify and understand technology trends within the industry;
- Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location;
- Travel: 25-50%
- Experience/knowledge of software development life cycle for P&C insurance software;
- 3-5 years of implementing microservices based architecture for application development;
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and shift priorities quickly;
- Strong business understanding including costing , P&L and pricing strategies;
- 3-5 years of experience with integration platforms – Mulesoft, Dell Bhoomi, Jitterbit or equiavalent;
- Strong experience in Build Automation tools like Gradle, Ant, Maven etc;
- Excellent customer service skills, both in-person and over the phone;
- Strong aspiration to learn new technologies;
- Experience in Performance Optimizations for large scale high-volume web systems or transactional client-server enterprise applications;
- Good experience in both AWS and Azure Cloud Environments;
- Extensive experience in designing & implementation of Micro Service and RESTful APIs confirming to all modern standards and practices.
