Process Improvement Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Process Improvement Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Establish KPIs and create reports/dashboards designed to assist management in tracking transactional department efficiencies;
- Oversee parts management and the supply inventory system;
- Develop/utilize and maintain effective web-applications that meet the needs of data users, GF, and NRO;
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades as required to the database;
- Complete all change requests within 90 days of notification;
- Maintain documentation on GF created study decks to allow replication if necessary;
- Create the production of study decks within three business days of request;
- Conduct test activities to ensure quality assurance of data and the database structure;
- Develop web-based/enterprise tools as needed to improve/support scenario or study deck development;
- Plan/complete the update data/decks as needed with limited changes based on issues such as NIPF changes or inclusion of new/changes in data;
- Analyze data sets and elements and array them in a method that allows their use in analysis using directed models and simulations;
- Coordinate with content managers to ensure information currency;
- Maintain to the extent required by formal ISP/ASP agreements, database(s), tools, and web services;
- Participate in financial planning, ROI, and cost of failure reviews and budgets;
- Develop and maintain web-based/enterprise tools to allow users to identify and track data discrepancies and configuration change requests.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience within related field;
- Former experience in the chemical industry is preferred;
- At least five years of manufacturing experience is required. Chemical manufacturing or petroleum refining experience is preferred;
- Active TS/SCI security clearance;
- Experience with Oracle SQL Loader, Datadump, Enterprise Manager, PL/SQL, Microsoft Server T-SQL;
- Bachelors in engineering or related degree. Chemical engineering is preferred;
- The firm values MS Office proficiency, problem solving skills and collaboration skills;
- 11-14 years of experience;
- Proficient in computerized maintenance management systems and MS Project;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in project management, continuous improvement, and/or maintenance leadership;
- Ability to apply application software patches and maintain security documentation;
- Lean Six Sigma certification is highly desired;
- Experience programming for both Windows and Linux environments;
- Using Power Designer or similar database design and configuration software Experience with Microsoft .NET Programming environment;
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
