Our company is looking for a Process Control Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • programming, organized by plant, type and date;
  • Aid and assist in the layout design of construction and troubleshooting of electrical components;
  • and drawing are kept up to date and current;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Responsible for the programming and installation of PLC’s and the drawing of ladder logic diagrams to match such;
  • Maintain support for all current operating control technology and be available for potential “service” type issues;
  • Display a basic level of understanding of plant operations, maintenance and engineering principles;
  • Take an active role with process automation industry trade groups to gain best practice guidance;
  • Participate in incident investigations and unit troubleshooting;
  • Process automation familiarity in multiple areas/plants, particularly in problem-solving and troubleshooting;
  • Control design and implementation for optimization and capital projects;
  • Providing on-call, after hours & weekend coverage;
  • Tuning DCS control loops;
  • Knowledge and support or safety management and environmental compliance systems;
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting of the mill’s process control system.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering (or related);
  • Able to design and implement basic control schemes as well as sequence logic;
  • Configuration and graphics experience with any of the following: Rockwell, Siemens, ABB, Delta V, Yokogawa, and/or Honeywell is a plus;
  • Familiarity with various industry communication protocols (EthernetIP, Profibus, etc.);
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Technical Field is preferred.
