Security Administrator troubleshoots network access problems and implements network security policies and procedures. Ensures network (LAN/WAN, telecommunications, and voice) security access and protects against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction. Being a Security Administrator requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Security Administrator works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. To be a Security Administrator typically requires 3-5 years of related experience, or may need 2 years experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.

Our company is looking for a Security Administrator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support corporate-wide security initiatives and specialized integrated project teams as assigned;
  • Support telephonic/in-person response to facility alarms and after-hours security notifications;
  • Participate in local and corporate-wide security education campaigns;
  • Provide support as alternate COMSEC custodian for control of local facility account;
  • Provide support as alternate Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO);
  • Manage Windows server and workstation patching with WSUS;
  • Other duties and projects as assigned;
  • Participate in security program self-assessment initiatives, ensuring compliance with security regulations prescribed by multiple USG agencies;
  • Conduct audits of new systems to ensure compliance with existing security policies and standards;
  • Knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, and data encryption;
  • Provide initial response to security incidents;
  • Technical knowledge of operating systems (Windows 10 and );
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network administration;
  • Working technical knowledge of IT security systems software, protocols, and;
  • Perform technology installs and upgrades (software, A/V, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Detailed knowledge of NISPOM, ICDs and DoD Security Manuals desired;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Minimum Fundamental Knowledge, Skills and Abilities as stated in SNC’s Responsibility Matrix;
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance required;
  • Strong computer skills and business acumen;
  • Analytical and problem solving abilities;
  • Bachelor s degree with 6 years of security;
  • HS Diploma or GED;
  • 2+ years of experience as a Security Specialist supporting the NISPOM and DoD collateral security guidance;
  • Completion of CDSE course work;
  • Ability to interpret security requirements for classified contracts, including DD 254s;
  • Written communication & documentation;
  • Ability to work with others effectively to help foster and encourage a positive work environment;
  • Active Top Secret clearance;
  • Knowledge and experience in performing forensics tasks.
