Our company is looking for a Senior Network Systems Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and collaborate with other members of the Engineering team in the development of technical design solutions;
  • Act as a mentor to more junior engineers in all areas of the systems development life cycle;
  • Provide post-fielding support, resolving operational issues involving L2 and L3, in a multi-routing network infrastructure;
  • Capture, analyze, decompose and create requirements for network systems, products and subsystems of moderate to high complexity;
  • Develop and implement project plans within budgetary, schedule and resource constraints;
  • Author, champion and have strong opinions on engineering design standards and best practices;
  • Configuration and installation various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, ACL);
  • Apply Security/Cyber security methodologies to network and systems design to provide secure services that support business requirements;
  • Serve as the primary technical lead on projects that contain moderate to highly complex environments.

Requirements:

  • Ability to take the initiative in driving technical discussions with the relevant parties and not wait to be invited;
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a productive and committed work effort, meeting deadlines and managing workload;
  • Experience as mentor\team lead providing work direction and guidance to other personnel;
  • Up to 20% travel required to support a global product and solutions organization;
  • Experience in performing tasks in computers with UNIX/Linux operating systems and working with telco providers using MPLS circuits;
  • Deep understanding of IP Networks, security and network management concepts;
  • Often travel to customer locations to directly work with customers and resolve issues on-site;
  • Communicate effectively with customers on both a technical and non-technical level;
  • Knowledge of VoIP Telephony and of SIP with experience in voice network design to include SIP and QOS configurations;
  • Self-managed and motivated;
  • Work as part of a team as well as work unsupervised;
  • A career path that has provided exposure to and experience of employing a broad spectrum of network and infrastructure technologies;
  • Experience providing solutions and implementing infrastructures requiring 100% availability, near zero latency, low response times;
