Our company is looking for a Sr. Network Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to understand requirements, recommendations, and project scopes;
  • LAN/WAN implementation and support duties as required, including practical experience with the following devices;
  • HP Switches;
  • Align with SAFE Agile principles;
  • Producing technical documents including assessments of current network infrastructure and project closeout documents for projects;
  • Configure load balancers;
  • Design, code, and test new network environments;
  • Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting;
  • Bring industry best-practices and new thinking to the team;
  • Employ Government standards to configure the interconnects between data centers, networks and security boundaries;
  • Ability to automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness;
  • Monitors systems health and makes recommendations for additional resources or hardware;
  • Must possess advanced troubleshooting skills;
  • Optimize end-to-end system performance (capacity, margins, data quality etc.) and dataflow management;
  • Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput. (U) Validate new and existing dataflow and data formats.

Requirements:

  • High-level technical knowledge of network best practices;
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure;
  • Use knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks;
  • UNIX operating experience: LAMP software deployments;
  • Ability to anticipate problems, resolve ambiguity and take decisive action;
  • Unwavering commitment to, and the ability to model, the standards of behavior set in our Code of Conduct;
  • At least one Cisco network technology super-power; route & switch, security, etc;
  • Ability to automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness;
  • Cisco Call Manager experience to include implementation, troubleshooting, and upgrading;
  • Desktop operating systems (i.e. Windows, OS X, Linux);
  • Communicate with users when needed;
  • Must possess advanced troubleshooting skills;
  • Monitors systems health and makes recommendations for additional resources or hardware;
  • Experience with NGFW products in a highly available enterprise environment;
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
