Senior Systems Analyst/Programmer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Systems Analyst/Programmer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Frequently must follow written and oral instructions as well as complete routine tasks independently;
- Ensures confidentiality of patient information following HIPAA guidelines and TEC policies;
- Performs all duties in a manner which promotes and supports the Core Values and Compact of The Everett Clinic;
- Provides routine and emergency production support which can require off hours and/or weekends;
- Identify and define applications architecture, components and interfaces, design of data model, data/information flows, and security design;
- Completes annual compliance training on HIPAA/Privacy/Confidentiality/Non-Discrimination/Harassment/Integrity Statement and signs Agreements;
- Monitor system performance and uptime;
- Ensures parity between non-production and production environments;
- Troubleshoots application and/or client related issues and implements resolutions;
- Applies tests and implements application fixes; works with vendor supported applications to obtain fixes and implement as appropriate;
- Has regular and predictable attendance;
- Supports team technology projects and system upgrades;
- Integrates Lean principles, practices and tools to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting Java or .Net based applications;
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively;
- Banking Industry background;
- Knowledge of working with Middleware Application such as Server;
- Ability to deliver quality results under tight deadlines;
- Ability to prepare detailed implementation and test plans;
- Highly developed understanding of structure analysis, technical design, and database and file access methods;
- Ability to learn and apply new information quickly while interpreting and offering appropriate solutions to customers;
- 5+ years of professional IT and business systems analyst experience;
- Assists users in answering questions to ensure the applications are properly used in conjunction with their business process;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently with moderate supervision;
- Knowledge of database structures, data definitions, and data relationships;
- Ability to be self-directed and learn quickly with strong attention to detail;
- Knowledge in all areas of system life cycle development.
