Sr. Systems Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Sr. Systems Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement a wide variety of complex systems within the global applications portfolio;
- Performance monitoring, trend analysis, application tuning, and maintenance of the application life cycle for a variety of systems;
- Works with other IT groups to plan and support systems;
- Serve as a trusted Digital advisor to the Corporate Financial Services Department;
- Work with other functional and technical teams to document, develop, test, and support solutions;
- Perform analysis and helpdesign database changes using Model 204 concepts, DB2, IMS and VSAM;
- Understand Corporate Financial procedures and Digital capabilities and recommend process changes to standardize functionality and increase automation;
- Communicate and act asliaison with offshore developers;
- Attend project meetingsand provide status to project managers;
- Help develop and maintainsystem and process documentation including data flow diagrams and projectplans;
- Communicate and act asliaison with technical group and business stakeholders;
- Demonstrated experience responding to quick turnaround requests for metrics and other quantitative analysis;
- Develop new features for our Container Board Sales Application;
- Demonstrated experience performing analysis of alternatives and utility analysis, specifically with respect to System Architectures;
- Demonstrated experience tracking customer requirements and requirements management.
Requirements:
- Proficient in writing SQL queries against the database;
- Certified Scrum Master;
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field of study;
- Minimum 5-years of experience using management tools such as Jira;
- Experience with ERP Cloud migrations;
- Travel 5%
- Minimum 5-years of experience as a Systems Analyst in an Agile development team;
- SQL (Advanced);
- Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Good interpersonal skills and desire to work collaboratively;
- 5+ years solid experience supporting applications in a Unix/Linux environment;
- Technical Bachelor’s Degree (engineering, computer science, information technology);
- Strong Database troubleshooting experience on Oracle database /RDBMS;
- 5+ years Oracle query development with PL/SQL skills, knowledge of Data Modeling.
