Our company is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer engagement;
  • Support or lead as assigned root cause and correction action investigations to solve technical problems;
  • UniFi (Ubiquity) switches, access points;
  • Production support for servers including failover, backup recovery;
  • Monitor, analyze, & report information on system performance; identify inefficiencies, issues, and bottlenecks;
  • Provide Best Practice solutions throughout the build process for new applications;
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution;
  • Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 and 3 networking (physical and cloud);
  • Prepare engineering input for product release and support by other departments;
  • Linux administration to include deploy, manage, upgrade and troubleshoot;
  • Providing onsite and remote technical assistance to clients;
  • Synchronize solution architectures and system dependencies to achieve the enterprise mission architecture and meet the mission need;
  • Designs and Runs bakeoffs, proof of concept tests, pilot tests, integration tests and acceptance tests;
  • Develop, in support of engineering reviews and/or panels, evaluations and technical justifications of feasibility;
  • OS administration largly Linux with some windows.

Requirements:

  • TCP/IP, MPLS, SPRING, RSVP, LDP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VPNs, QoS, IPv6;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field;
  • 5-7+ years of proven experience supporting delivering IT services;
  • Enjoys a transparent, high-communication environment;
  • MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) Preferred;
  • Ability to create and deploy updated application packages;
  • Direct a project team to define and document the system architecture and design;
  • CLOS Architecture, HA Design Concepts, EVPN, VXLAN;
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes Clusters, AKS or Open Shift;
  • Expert knowledge of MS Windows server to provide infrastructure support to desktop personnel and virtual server support to external customers;
  • Expert knowledge of Active Directory domains and forests, LDAP & Kerberos in heterogeneous environments;
  • 10+ years in architecture ecosystem design (5+ years with integration components);
  • Experience with UCS Director (Cisco UCS Platforms);
  • Prior US military experience • Experience with IBM Rational Tool Suite (RTS) and/or Rational DOORS Next Generation (RDNG);
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field with 10 or more years of relevant Systems Engineering experience.
