Our company is looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution;
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks;
  • Document, implement and optimize solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability;
  • Thorough understanding of building, designing and deploying operating systems, software and configuration tasks to end-user servers;
  • SAN/NAS based storage across multiple vendor solutions to virtual and physical infrastructures;
  • Help determine tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) for security tools;
  • Work as a Systems Engineer in a collaborative team-focused SecDevOps environment;
  • Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services;
  • Leveraging the knowledge in planning for process and performance improvement; providing technical consultation to various groups within IT;
  • There is a potential for some domestic and international travel;

  • Develop and perform system level verification testing to demonstrate compliance with certification requirements;

Requirements:

  • Expert level and hands-on knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS technologies (RSVP, LDP, L3VPN, L2VPN, and Segment Routing);
  • Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS;
  • Foundational understanding of Enterprise Cloud solutions, Linux OS and SQL server cluster technologies;
  • Experience with developing and deploying software apps in a Linux environment;
  • Strong organizational skills, including effective use of time and equipment to accomplish assigned projects and managing multiple concurrent tasks;
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail;
  • Ability to conduct research into issues as required;
  • Microsoft Remote Desktop Services and published applications;
  • Aircraft-related industry standards for systems and/or software development (ARP-4754A, DO-254, DO-178C);
  • Understanding of transport/firewall configuration;
  • 4+ years of experience with scripting: Macro based VB XLS scripting; BAT scripting; SQL scripting;
  • Master’s degree in related field required;
  • Ability to work across organizations and promote cross functional teaming,
  • Experience building web servers with Tomcat and IIS;
  • Ability to translate high-level technical requirements through all the levels of the software stack is essential.
