Sr. ETL Developer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Sr. ETL Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Desirable knowledge on ODI Architecture and development in medium to large scale data warehouse environments;
- Identify and reuse of ETL components and services to avoid duplicative implementations;
- Strong knowledge on SQL and analytical skills;
- Design, develop, and test advanced complex ETL/ELT solutions;
- Knowledge of ETL architecture;
- Enhance ELT/ELT process to reduce operating time or improve efficiency;
- Sound knowledge on Data warehousing principles and Problem solving;
- Support the project team throughout the design, development and testing process;
- Develop block diagrams and logic flow charts;
- Automate a robust data loading processes with exception handling and notification;
- Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation;
- Understand database design, programming concepts, data modeling, and framework management;
- Communicate ideas to both technical and non-technical people in all levels of the organization.
Requirements:
- Team-oriented individual;
- 6-8 years of experience in software development a must;
- 8+ years of ETL experience using Talend Data Integration, Tableau Prep, SAP Business Objects Data Services, Informatica, or SISS a must;
- Solid functional and analytical skills required;
- Required Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field;
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Powershell script knowledge is preferred;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with team members and all levels of management, including C-level;
- 2+ years’ healthcare data experience;
- Driven by a fast-paced, energetic, results-oriented environment;
- Excellent documentation and presentation skills;
- Must be a self-starter and able to lead teammates as needed;
- 3+ years’ experience in data warehousing and business intelligence;
- Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data architecture concepts;
- 3+ years’ experience developing with Informatica PowerCenter.
