Systems Administrator II maintains and supports the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems. Administers, installs and troubleshoots a variety of operating systems. Being a Systems Administrator II performs systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery and file maintenance. Schedules, installs, and tests system software upgrades. Additionally, Systems Administrator II configures software and resolves technical problems. Monitors and maintains software licensing and maintenance agreements. May require a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. The Systems Administrator II gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. To be a Systems Administrator II typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.

Our company is looking for a Systems Administrator II to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide system and application diagnoses to remediate issues while engaging other teams as needed;
  • Accurately enter host tracking and service approval information in internal DB;
  • Perform daily systems review (logs, backups, etc.);
  • Develop, post, and maintain web pages or documentation for distribution of information;
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation of servers, network, etc;
  • Provide technical input for policies and procedures and maintain associated documentation;
  • Monitor, organize and work collaboratively in a technological environment to support an established collaborative work environment;
  • Develops functional requirements through interaction with end-users and coordinates with support teams on systematic enhancements or changes;
  • Perform implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems;
  • Research and investigate problems and develop viable solutions; communicate recommendations clearly and effectively to the team;
  • Participate and contribute to architectural design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the virtualization infrastructure;
  • Finds creative solutions that work within Zoom’s cloud environment;
  • Focused troubleshooting and resolving end user problems and knowledge of Fresh service system;
  • Manage and support the integrity and the security of company devices and SaaS applications used by end users;
  • Manages a large number of concurrent projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • ITIL Foundations certification;
  • Must be available for on-call support as required;
  • Day-to-day fluency using Microsoft Active Directory to manage policies & user objects;
  • SQL programming experience;
  • Must have CompTIA Security+ce certification at start date;
  • Experience with Cloud based systems (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.);
  • Knowledge of cyber defensive architecture and technologies to protect, detect and respond to cyber threats and attack;
  • Experience using cloud identity and access management tools, preferably Okta;
  • Ability to deal with unforeseen situations and come up with logical solutions to these problems;
  • Windows domain architecture experience;
  • Experience scripting with Python, or PowerShell or Bash;
  • Attention to detail, time management of moderately complex tasks and strong customer focus;
  • Strong familiarity with AWS;
  • Experience with release management tools and techniques;
  • Experience with API calls.
