Our company is looking for a Apprentice Electrician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Examining electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools;
  • Cleaning work area and washing parts;
  • Assisting with troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuit;
  • Tracing out short circuits in wiring, using test meter;
  • Maintaining current electrician’s license or identification card to meet governmental regulations;
  • Installing power supply wiring and conduit such as: EMT, O-CAL, Rigid conduit, MC cable, strut, cable trays;
  • Help Lead Electrician keep the service vehicle clean and replenish inventory levels in the service vehicle;
  • Begin learning the features and benefits of the products Edison uses;
  • Working in attics and crawl spaces to run wiring and remove old wiring;
  • Begin learning to estimate electrical work using the software;
  • Observe all safety requirements like wearing safety glasses, hand protection, dust masks and ladder safety;
  • Be on-time to the assigned jobs;
  • Attend online classes through the Minnesota Electrical Association and maintain a passing grade;
  • Begin learning how to use the service software;
  • Working on an extension ladder.

Requirements:

  • Drug free at all times;
  • High standard of integrity and professionalism;
  • Ability to work well under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician following electrical code manuals;
  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety;
  • MUST be able to work a minimum of 40 hour work week;
  • Pass background check;
  • Apprentice – 2+ years (Must have an active ET card);
  • Own basic Electrician tools;
