Dietary Aide Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Dietary Aide to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Washes dishes, etc. according to established procedures for manual and /or automatic dishwashing;
- Deliver prepared trays to tables or rooms;
- Assist in keeping track of expenses and menu planning;
- Discard leftovers and take out garbage;
- Pouring and covering beverages;
- Serving food in the dining room;
- Maintenance of dish machine room or area;
- Willingness to work for the best interest of the facility;
- Clean up work area;
- Prepares bags for the Green St. lunches;
- Ensures all trays are accurate and meet nutritional needs of residents;
- Assists with room service delivery;
- Preparing nourishment’s and positioning them in front of the nourishing station;
- Responsible for assigned station, and respective duties, on the resident tray line;
- Delivers snacks to each of the nursing units on each floor.
Requirements:
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly;
- Must meet all health requirements;
- Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients;
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred;
- Must be at least 18 yrs old;
- Must be adaptable, cooperative and courteous;
- Must pass background check;
- Physical Demand: Able to lift up to 30 pounds and work in hot or cold environments. Able to stand for lengthy periods of time;
- Illinois Food Handler Certification;
- Possess High School Diploma, G.E.D;
- Highly effective listening skills;
- Must be a detail oriented person and be able to perform duties with great accuracy each day;
- Must be willing to perform repetitive tasks daily;
- Must have knowledge of, or be willing to learn, correct sanitation procedures and use these on a daily basis;
- Must be in good mental and physical condition.
