Our company is looking for a Dietary Cook to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation;
  • Assists with the evacuation of kitchen or dining area in the event of fire or other emergency;
  • Prepares hot and cold food (entrees, soups, salads, etc.) following established recipes for all meal services and special events;
  • Completes any reports or logs;
  • Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices.

Requirements:

  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed;
  • One year of relevant experience;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience in SNF helpful;
  • Dietary Cook experience in a long-term care facility;
  • Reliability – The trait of being dependable and trustworthy;
  • Adaptability – Ability to adapt to change in the workplace;
  • Prior experience in cooking strongly preferred;
  • Must complete state approved coursework regarding modified diets and sanitation within 90 days of employment;
  • Must have experience in preparing and cooking food in large quantities;
  • Must have knowledge of elementary math;
  • Working Under Pressure – Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations;
  • Safety Awareness – Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety;
  • Accountability – Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions;
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
