Food Prep Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Food Prep to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Weigh and measure ingredients to be used;
- Demonstrating a complete understanding of menu items and order process and explaining them to guests accurately;
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area;
- Work at a fast pace;
- Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage;
- Making sandwiches and salads;
- Prepare a variety of foods according to customers’ orders or supervisors’ instructions, following approved procedures;
- making biscuits;
- Assist in taking customers orders;
- clean and sanitized after cutting raw chicken;
- Serve food;
- Cook & clean foods;
- Cut, wash, brine, marinate whole chickens, chicken breast, wings;
- prep produce for salads;
- Maintain clean, food-safe dish and prep stations throughout shift.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils;
- Experience working in BOH position;
- Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally;
- Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction;
- Must be 18 years or older;
- Proven reliable transportation;
- Great personality and demeanor, honest and trustworthy;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on your feet for several hours;
- Friendly customer service attitude;
- California Food Handler’s Certificate;
