Our company is looking for a Associate Optometrist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform vision tests and analyze results;
  • Evaluate patients for the presence of diseases and refer to other healthcare providers as needed;
  • Attend staff meetings;
  • Communicates with parents, teachers and providers;
  • Contact lens knowledge that includes evaluations, troubleshooting and fitting;
  • Knowledge of oculomotor and visual learning-related symptoms;
  • Team with specialists to co-manage patients;
  • Understanding and identification of oculomotor and visual learning related symptoms;
  • Co-management of patients with specialists as needed including post-operative eye care will be expected;
  • Specialty contact lens fitting;
  • Attends and contributes at staff meetings to keep up with events and policy changes;
  • Operate an OCT in the medical management of patient;
  • Performance of customer service related protocols;
  • Ensure flawless accuracy in taking measurements and diagnosing ocular conditions;
  • Examine patients having a full range of visual problems by using a full field of optometry instruments and techniques.

Requirements:

  • Basic Optometry Training;
  • Must have OD degree;
  • Doctor of Optometry;
  • Higher education degree;
  • No experience is necessary; on the job training is provided;
  • Customer and team focused;
  • Basic Optometry and Paraoptometric training;
  • Basic coding skills;
  • Data-entry software knowledge;
  • Patient-focused;
  • Optometric testing experience;
  • State licensed or certified as an Optometrist;
  • Caring, personable and organized;
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Optometry required;
  • Patient-focused customer service.
