Our company is looking for a Bariatric Surgeon to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides office follow up of bariatric surgery patients;
  • Participates in community outreach activities regarding Legacy’s bariatric surgery services;
  • Completes medical records, coding and billing schedules and forms, and other needed paperwork in a timely fashion;
  • Provides consultation on bariatric surgical issues;
  • Participates on relevant committees as requested;
  • Provides bariatric surgery coverage on an “on-call” capacity for Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital;
  • Participates in Legacy Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement programs as appropriate for clinical practice.

Requirements:

  • Medical License and DEA;
  • Membership on LPH Medical Staff;
  • Completion of general surgery residency;
  • Two years’ experience or fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery preferred;
  • Board certified or board eligible in general surgery;
  • Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent;
  • Follows guidelines set forth in Legacy’s Values in Action.
