Bariatric Surgeon Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Bariatric Surgeon to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provides office follow up of bariatric surgery patients;
- Participates in community outreach activities regarding Legacy’s bariatric surgery services;
- Completes medical records, coding and billing schedules and forms, and other needed paperwork in a timely fashion;
- Provides consultation on bariatric surgical issues;
- Participates on relevant committees as requested;
- Provides bariatric surgery coverage on an “on-call” capacity for Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital;
- Participates in Legacy Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement programs as appropriate for clinical practice.
Requirements:
- Medical License and DEA;
- Membership on LPH Medical Staff;
- Completion of general surgery residency;
- Two years’ experience or fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery preferred;
- Board certified or board eligible in general surgery;
- Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent;
- Follows guidelines set forth in Legacy’s Values in Action.
