Our company is looking for a Certified Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aides to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures documentation is complete and accurate prior to end of shift;
  • Performing duties as assigned on personal care service plan;
  • Documents client’s intake and output on flow sheet;
  • Helps provide a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients and family members;
  • Helps clients to dress, such as dressed for the day, dressed to go out, dressed for bedtime, etc;
  • Projects a friendly, helpful, caring, and enthusiastic attitude to clients and their families;
  • Assists client to and from daily activities;
  • Provides companionship for the client including, but not limited to, talking and listening, reading aloud, and providing social and emotional support;
  • Helps clients with toileting as necessary and empties and cleans bedpans and urinals;
  • Uses the appropriate transportation device when necessary;
  • Assist in providing a safe environment for client;
  • Provide transportation as required;
  • Assist clients with personal care and hygiene;
  • Provide client care according to approved Plan of Care;
  • Comply with all documentation and record keeping requirements.

Requirements:

  • Able to function independently in the home setting with minimal direct supervision;
  • Unrestricted Florida driver’s license and clean driving record;
  • Current CPR and first aid certification;
  • Able to stand, sit, walk, reach, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 25 pounds;
  • High school diploma or GED with further training to achieve certification;
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions and document services provided;
  • Successful completion of Comfort Keepers training and orientation program required;
  • Knowledge of general sanitary and safety practices;
  • One to two years of experience in the field preferred;
  • Willing to drive to private homes in the area to perform the duties of this position;
  • Certified as a CNA, PCA, or HHA;
  • Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance;
  • Able to fulfill assignments with reliability and punctuality;
  • Valid driver’s license (candidate must be able to drive);
  • Reliable car/auto insurance.
