Certified Nursing Assistant (Full Time) Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (Full Time) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains constant supervision of residents while smoking;
- Performs daily documentation of intake/output, restraints or other required documentation records;
- Reports any changes in residents to supervisor or records in chart as required;
- Assists with toileting needs according to individualized program and collects specimens when necessary;
- Bathes and dresses residents and attends to their physical needs, while offering emotional support;
- Prepares residents for therapy and/or recreational activities;
- Assists in separating and putting away clothing of residents;
- Assists with restraints, first aid or CPR as necessary;
- Fills water pitchers and passes to residents where they are scheduled to receive them;
- Participates in quality assurance nursing program;
- Operates medical equipment such as Hoyer lift, feeding tubes, etc. as assigned;
- Maintains clean, safe work area and assists with nursing cleaning/housekeeping duties as assigned;
- Assists in transporting residents to/from other rooms, locations and in getting residents in/out of bed, chairs, etc;
- Participates in care planning as directed;
- Serves food trays to residents; assists in feeding residents who cannot feed themselves.
Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania;
- Experience as an aide within a hospital or nursing home preferred;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English;
- In good standing on the State Nursing Assistant registry or appropriate entity;
- Experience in health care or long term care;
- CPR Certified;
- Good communication skills.
