CNA/PCA Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a CNA/PCA to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Providing Companionship or sitting services;
- Transportation to appointments/appointment management;
- Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation;
- Medication reminders;
- Assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (ADLs);
- Perform a variety of tasks, such as dressing, feeding, bathing, and overseeing play;
- Implement creative activities to assist with child development;
- Supervise and interact with children in a safe and compassionate manner;
- Create a positive and nurturing environment for children;
- Light housekeeping duties;
- Monitor and report any unusual incidents;
- Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.);
- Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation;
- Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary;
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
Requirements:
- Adult & Infant CPR/ AED/ First Aid Certification, Clearances & References;
- CNA & PCA certification a PLUS;
- Positive and patient demeanor;
- Previous experience with childcare or other related fields;
- Passionate about working with children;
- Ability to build rapport with children and their parents;
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations;
- Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends;
- Take pride in providing high quality care;
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year);
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards;
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner;
- High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver;
- Supportive and compassionate;
- Reliable transportation every single day.
