Our company is looking for a Dental Hygienist RDH to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Place locally-administered antibiotics as supportive periodontal therapy;
  • Creates periodontal treatment plans based on the dentist’s diagnosis;
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned and allowed under applicable state laws and regulations;
  • Implement irrigation and desensitizing procedures or products as adjunctive to periodontal therapy;
  • Perform root planning as a periodontal therapy;
  • Make recommendations as to patients’ recare interval and follow-up needs;
  • Perform downtime duties as assigned;
  • Apply cavity-preventive agents, such as fluorides and pit and fissure sealants;
  • Perform recall and reactivation phone calls;
  • Expose, develop and mount dental x-rays (intraoral and extraoral);
  • Assist other dental professionals in communicating patient care;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned;
  • Adhere to clinical policies procedures and protocols;
  • Ensure proper patient record and documentation;
  • Perform oral healthcare and risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about providing patient-centered care, and excellent patient service;
  • Local Anesthesia Permit;
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate;
  • To be paid on adj. production bases (35%);
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong organization, planning and analytical skills;
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills, including conflict resolution skills;
  • Comfortable scheduling patients’ dental hygiene appointments;
  • Excellent positive attitude and customer service skills;
  • Dental hygienists must be licensed and in good standing with the State of Louisiana;
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene;
  • Strong team player;
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs as required;
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a rapidly changing environment;
  • Passionate about Dental Hygiene and the service you provide.
