Responsibilities:
- Inventories and controls usage of supplies including menus, computer paper and labels;
- Responsible for meeting individual education and training requirements;
- Keeps files, desks and supplies in order; performs cleaning functions according to department sanitation policies and procedures;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Maintain resident profiles by updating any and all attendant information such as menu changes, production groups, cart order and weight tracking;
- Communicates with unit clerks to resolve routing or non-urgent requests;
- Participates in and fosters a performance improvement approach that includes both intradepartmental and interdepartmental activities;
- Orients new employees as assigned;
- Provide necessary forms for Dieticians and Supervisors at schedules times, i.e., temperature recording forms, dining room serving schedules;
- Print daily resident tray tickets, production sheets and nourishment labels in accordance with daily cycle menus;
- Responsible for compliance with Organizational Integrity through raising questions and promptly reporting actual or potential wrongdoing;
- Enter resident profile information into the mealtracker database from dietary communications from nursing units.
Requirements:
- Computer literacy with Windows based systems;
- May be exposed to blood and body fluids;
- Knowledge of modified diets desirable;
