Our company is looking for a Expanded Duties Dental Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the dentist in managing dental emergencies;
- Taking and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs;
- Improving your clinical skills and acumen through participation in continuing education and training opportunities offered by Heartland Dental;
- Ability to travel at least once every other month for training, occasionally overnight;
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs;
- Previous work experience in a dental practice is a plus;
- Ability to build rapport with patients;
- Dental assisting school certificate is a plus;
- Good manual dexterity;
- Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
Requirements:
- Previous work experience in a dental practice is a plus;
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs;
- Must be able to make temporaries, take impressions, and x-rays;
- Experience with Dentrix a plus;
- Ability to build rapport with patients;
- Dental assisting school certificate is a plus;
- Four-handed dentistry a plus;
- Good manual dexterity;
- Teachable and friendly team player with sincere quality for patient care;
- Knowledge of processing lab cases inbound and outbound;
- Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology;
- Expanded Duties Certification;
- EDDA certification;
- Experience with surgical dental procedures a plus;
- Bilingual preferred.
