Our company is looking for a ICU Registered Nurse to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides respiratory and ventilator management and monitoring for patients;
  • Instructs and educates patients and families;
  • Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs;
  • Orients and mentors new staff members;
  • Carries out physician orders;
  • Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team;
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required;
  • Provides age and culturally appropriate care;
  • Communicates and works effectively with other staff and other departments;
  • Establishes nursing diagnoses based on results of assessments and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team;
  • Medication administration;
  • Pain management.

Requirements:

  • FL RN license and/or approved multistate license;
  • Familiarity with medical terminology;
  • NIHSS Certification for Neuro ICU;
  • Valid and up to date BLS/CPR/TB;
  • Ability to build rapport with patients;
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor;
  • Previous experience in ICU preferred;
  • Current ASLS;
  • Previous experience in acute critical care preferred;
  • VA or Compact State License;
  • Must live more than 50 miles from facility;
  • BLS, ACLS and NIHSS;
  • CCRN – Preferred;
  • 2+yrs of ICU RN experience;
  • ACLS required within 90 days of hire.
